Awesome, I wish my husband could drop hints like that. I only got him the scotch because I didn't know what else to get him. I figured the bar can never be too stocked with variety...

got a 10 yr bottle of glenmorangie as a belated bday gift for bro in law. it was so smooth, I went and got a bottle for myself. it's comparable in taste and finish to the glenlivet. going for $28 on sale at hi times, $50 at bevmo.

thanks for the tip on that buffalo trade. what's it taste like?

Might give that a try.

Has anyone else gotten into the Dickel?

I highly suggest it. I think the No. 10 is my favorite though.

I have a bunch of friends I grew up with that drink Dickel and Sun Drop all day long. It doesn't get much more redneck than that. Until they start shouting "IT'S DICKEL TIME, BOYS!"

My mistake. My preference is for the No. 8 bottle. I could've sworn it was 10. In any case, it's amazing how much difference in smoothness there is from 80 proof to 90 proof.

I've seen Dickel most places for around $25. It's a great buy if you feel like picking up something a little different. Plus, that No. 12 label is cool lookin.

tried this tonight, its about a 50 dollar bottle (willett single barrel). good but not great, for some reason i feel like some of the higher priced higher proof just tend to blend too much sugar/sweetener in. i like it a bit dirty. will not buy!

Before I decided on Harpers Ferry I really wanted to move to the Purcellville area. Let me know how it is, I'll try to remember to take a look for a bottle.

Also, speaking of moving, I can't wait until I do because my first purchase is going to be a still.

What did it taste like? I like really sweet tea. I'm also highly interested in this. I wonder if I could fine some here at a nicer wine store or something.

this whole sweet tea liquor thing is catching on. it's 70 proof (the vodka or bourbon) and tastes pretty great on ice with a lemon twist. it tastes like sweet tea, but you can tell its a syrup (artificial flavor) because if tried to put an alcohol in a sweet tea it would be all you taste.

It took a long while for the Vodka Sweet Tea to reach up here. For the longest time it could only be found south of North Carolina. Next time I see a bottle of the Bourbon I'll buy it.

Bought a bottle of Laphroaig for $30 when I was in California, it's a $50 bottle at my local stores. Gonna open it up in October, though - I'm off booze for a whole month, sadly.
