At least the Aussies qualified. We haven't since 1986. I'll actually be cheering for the Aussies or the Dutch. I still am a little bitter at the way the Aussies went out last time. Stupid Italians.

I'll be rooting for France. (just found out from the consulate that I am a French citizen and don't have to apply through marriage, yay!). although, they're not so good this year. I think all they have left from the '98 cup team is thierry Henri. my fav is zizou and I think he's retired. :(

haha, ya I heard about that. oh well. like I said, I don't even think they're good this go around. it's more about cheering for the team my family is a fan of than anything else.

massive stokage. What's the mup pool look like? i'm thinking we all grab a team as quick as we can post, or have someone dedicated put up some sort of lottery to pick in order.

Yo Chad, since you were asking I think the action in Vegas is gonna be massive for this. The best book in town (The M Casino) hired a special british bookmaker for this event and has a 25 page packet full with just about every possible bet you could imagine, and for every USA or Mexico game they'll be putting out sheets with all kinds of shit. The place I work is getting some money coming in, but a couple places are already drawing lots and lots of bets.

I'm not some huge soccer fan but this is gonna definitely spice up my work days. Instead of staring at empty seats at 7AM I'll (hopefully) have some drunken wild soccer hooligans and crazy Mexicans enjoying the viewing parties and drink specials. Plus I'm sure I'll make some degenerate bets on things like time of first goal and how many corner kicks will be taking place just to have some rooting interests. This shit is gonna be so fun.
