When I went to work yesterday at 7:00pm, my weirdo suitemate was playing the new Super Smash Bros game. When I got back from work at 1:00am he was still playing. When I went to bed at 3:00am he was still playing. When I woke up at 10:00am he was still playing. Currently it is almost 1:00pm and he is still playing. SO GLAD I DID NOT ROOM WITH THIS GUY.

Actually, I just stopped playing that game so I could post here. It's pretty awesome.

Work has made me srsly consider burning down the local health dept this weekend. At the very least I'm quiting my job sooner than later. Fuck the kids.

Achilles srsly have gotten me through some awful days the last six months and i totally shat the bed and didn't put them on my end of the year list.

Miss posting here more. Interwebs in teh apt soon and I'll be yo dog.

Totally wish some body would start battle rapping again. Any body have mp3's of some classic battles? I've been busting Canibus mix tapes for the last week and have a taste for beef.
Ferret jumped the shark years ago. The only bands they have left that are worth a damn are Misery Signals and A Life Once Lost.

And that's a tough argument to make regardless considering the stinker that was Iron Gag and Misery Signals are somewhat forgettable.

Misery Signals is the best metalcore band out there........FEEL ME?

ETID......just awesome

I would still call ALOL a good band, and I look forward to their next release, I just hope it's as good as Hunter or A Great Artist.

and up until Scarlet broke up, Ferret had four bands that were awesome. Scarlet was really on to something with that last album.

*edit* I completely forgot Boys Night Out, Poison The Well and Zao..................Zao is a maybe, I liked their last two albums a bit

How many times can you hear the same southern metal licks and the same "funny" lyrics? I think the band pretty much peaked with Hot Damn!

That's true, but I thought their last record was pretty good. Hell, I liked Gutter Phenomenon more than most other Ferret releases over the past few years.

This statement is false. Were you the one that tried to say Misey Signals > Shai Hulud a few months back? That is still false too.

Agree with some of this however,
BNO is pretty much broken up
Zao isn't on Ferret anymore
Scarlet is broke up
ALOL blows now that they turned into Lamb of God
and Poison the Well is still rad.
ETID's last record was good, but counting them, the two bands they've got isn't enough.
Ok, I take it back. the SYNT record was fun. Stupid but fun.

most likely was me and I still stand by it. they take what shai hulud was doing, strip it of most of the hardcore, add more metal and melody to it and maybe a breakdown here and there. I know that might not sound like a good thing to most people, but they are my ideal metalcore band.

and I love Shai Hulud, I'm just sick of everybody acting as if they are they ONLY metalcore band worth a shit

yeah, which is why I guess they can't be considered a Ferret band anymore, but that last album was definitely in my top 10 of 2006 and Brandon Roundtree had one of the most impressive vocal performances in a long time.

while I agree with this, they still have the capacity to make a turn around

Fair enough. Shai Hulud is definitely not the only metalcore band but I've never been able to get into Misery Signals for some reason. Tell which album I should check out and I'll try again.

Shai Hulud ages well. They don't really have any clunkers, all of their $hit seems urgent & inspired...can't really say the same of many other metalcore bands, even really good ones.
