Man, I tried reading Fell and I hated it. There wasn't anything in the stories that grabbed me and the art mega-bugs.

And why are you hatin' on the Sword, haha. I think the story is ramping up and so far it keeps me interested even with all the exposition they take their time doing. The only place where you could theoretically fault them is the dialogue, and even then, it's a comic, it's not supposed to be super-deep.

I bought the new murder by death. after one listen, it's a pretty big letdown after how great the last two were, but hopefully it'll grow on me. the last track ("spring break") was definitely the highlight first time around.

i saw nick cave last week in NYC and the dude put on such a good set. i don't really know a lot of his material but he had the entire venue captivated.

new malkmus is kind of eh, i need to give it a few more listens i guess.

New Millencolin is really disappointing. I blame Lou Giordano.

I used to love this band back in high school. Now I don't know what happened to them...

I couldn't even make it through the second listen. I'm really counting on the nufan cd and a (hopefully) throwback goldfinger cd to revive my faith in my childhood favorites.

Millencolin are so incredibly boring live they lost me for good after the second time I saw them live. All their albums since "Pennybridge Pioneers" have mediocre at best. And I actually think their whole discography doesn't really stand the test of time aside a couple songs.

Yeah, their whole discography has been a series of disappointments and delightful surprises. I'm not a die-hard fan, so the only albums that I still speak highly of are Life On A Plate and Pennybridge Pioneers.

Which issue are they on? I have only read up till four, but I rarely see new ones at the store. I took a bit of a hiatus, but still.

The Boys is the series of the moment for me. Hilarious, graphic, sort of intelligent, top of the pops for sure.

Issue five just came out a few weeks ago. Avatar is even worse than Image when it comes to publishing schedules.

So my cd player in my car crapped out on me and I've been stuck with just the radio for the past two days. I haven't listened to the radio in years and it sure does suck. One thing I can't figure out is why rock stations play so much Bob Marley. Weird.

I've preset 6 stations into my radio and the only one that consistantly doesn't suck is the hip hop station and I don't even like hip hop! The rock stations are garbage and I'm pretty sure they only play Rage Against The Machine, Stone Temple Pilots, Metallica, Tool, White Stripes, Foo Fighters and Nirvana. Not bad bands but I'm not sure how you can call yourself "the cutting edge of rock" when the vast majority if shit you play is from bands that did all their best stuff in the 90s.

P.S. I hate Vampire Weekend.

i've been stuck with just a car radio for over a year now and it's amazing how modern rock acts like time stopped at the 90's, while hip hop stations make it seem like the 90's(or anything older than a month or two, really) never happened.

Thumbs down

Review a day project going very well.

Ferret Records is all but dead to me after this Eternal Lord album

Work has made me srsly consider burning down the local health dept this weekend. At the very least I'm quiting my job sooner than later. Fuck the kids.

Achilles srsly have gotten me through some awful days the last six months and i totally shat the bed and didn't put them on my end of the year list.

Miss posting here more. Interwebs in teh apt soon and I'll be yo dog.

Totally wish some body would start battle rapping again. Any body have mp3's of some classic battles? I've been busting Canibus mix tapes for the last week and have a taste for beef.
